Project Imaginary # 9. I've always wanted to do a redesign of the Turtles. This is the first one. It's Leonardo, who happens to be my favorite among the four. I wanted to make him exude an aura of maturity and honor, as befitting the leader of the Turtles. Will prolly work with the rest soon, after some other projects.

I'd reco tho upping the contrast a bit. seems overall too bright, and needs more shadow. Thinking of the turtles, and the whole ninja thing, adding darker tones would fit really well.
Also, the floor and wall seem a bit bare, could stand adding a little more texture, tone, shadows, doodads... you could try lobbing off a piece of the top just above the picture frame, and the bottom just several notches below Leo's knees, and a black bg. kinda like a widescreen movie shot. Might improve composition.

The backgrounds, yeah. Major problem of mine. I wanted it to be more detailed but I was really at a loss (and was eager to finish it na rin) on how to do it. In retrospect, it could stand to have swords displayed in the wall, and maybe an incense burning. As for the widescreen shot, lemme try that at home with the PSD. I'm actually curious how it would look (since composition is also my weaker point).
